The Inn’s beautiful grounds and accomodations allow you and your guests to enjoy not just your wedding day but a full weekend of activities and relaxation. From your rehearsal dinner to your farewell brunch, we help you create a treasured experience together. Plan a canoe trip down the Battenkill, a group hike on our trails, yoga class in the garden, pre-wedding massage sessions, BBQ and bonfire. We don’t do packages…we listen and support you in making your celebration uniquely your own.
Ceremonies Inspired by Nature
Say “I Do” surrounded by our lush flower gardens and beautiful views. The Inn’s grounds have many choices for gorgeous ceremony sites from the side yard overlooking our labyrinth garden and West Mountain, to our open field with expansive views of the Green Mountains. We’ve even had ceremonies in the woodland meadows of our West Mountain Inn trails. With 150 acres of private, beautiful cared for property, you can create the ceremony of your dreams. Or if you have your heart set on a little white chapel wedding, we can connect you with one of our many beautiful local churches or synagogues.
Historic Barn Receptions
The Barn at West Mountain Inn was originally built by the Rochester family in 1900 to house their imported merino sheep and dairy, furthering their desire to own a “gentleman’s farm” in the country. Still in its original state with wide-plank oak floors, aged-cedar siding, windows on all sides and a 2 ½- story open floor plan interior – the Barn was built for the ages. With the addition of a few modern amenities, the Barn has been re-imagined as the perfect romantic, rustic and elegant space to host your wedding – a true Vermont experience your guests will never forget!
Rehearsal Dinner to Farewell Brunch
Event Catering
Our chefs and event coordinator help you design the perfect menu customized for your wedding weekend. Working directly with local, organic farms and food producers, we serve only the best seasonal ingredients to create a memorable feast for your celebration. From our outdoor wood fired pizzas and BBQ rehearsal dinners, to 4 course or family style wedding receptions, to abundant farewell brunches – our chef and catering team brings Vermont’s most fresh and delicious dining to your table.
Tented Weddings
If your dream day includes a classic white wedding tent, our beautiful grounds are the perfect setting to dine and dance the night away. We coordinate wedding tent rental, set up and decor so you can create a beautiful outdoor space for your celebration. We have several garden and meadow settings for your tented wedding depending our your party size and preferences.
Privacy & Exclusivity
When you hold your celebration at the Inn you have exclusive use of the property. We never book multiple events on one day – you have our 100% attention and focus. Surrounded by 150 private acres you and your guests will have use of all of our grounds and buildings for your big day!
All Kinds of Weddings
Not everyone dreams of a big, elaborate wedding and at the Inn your can do Your Wedding – Your Way. We offer afternoon weddings, winter weddings, off-season weddings…even elopement packages. We’re happy to customize your celebration to your dreams and your budget.
Sometimes it can be a relief to just plan a small wedding with your closest Family and Friends. The Inn is a wonderful setting for your small wedding and we will help you along the way!
Our Small Wedding Package is offered for Mid-week (Monday – Thursday) weddings May – October and some weekends November – April.
• Ceremony in our beautiful antique barn or on our lawn in front of the beautiful Labyrinth Garden
•.Farm-to-table Dinner with choice of 4 hors d’oeuvres (or appetizer), salad, and choice of 3 entrees in our romantic dining room.
• Prosecco Toast
Just $95 per person (plus tax and service) includes tables, chairs, place settings, glassware, ceremony set-up, staffing and coordination. Does not include music, photography, flowers, cake or officiant but we are happy to refer you to our many excellent local vendors.
If you want to use the Barn for dining and/or dancing, add an additional $3,500 facility fee. If you want to use the Inn’s living room for dancing, your guests need to take all 14 of our Main Inn guest rooms and a $500 set-up fee is added.
